The needs of Knox residents have been ignored in this year’s State Budget.
Despite the government’s boasts of surpluses and record spending, there are no upgrades for our schools or local roads.
Schools like Fairhills High School, Scoresby Secondary College and Wantirna South Primary have missed out on upgrades, and the need for traffic lights at the corner of McMahons Road and Burwood Highway have been ignored.
Major projects like the East West Link and the Dorset Road extension didn’t rate a mention in the State Budget, even though funding for these has been secured by the Morrison Government.
We urgently need upgrades to our local schools, roads and railway stations, as well as works to protect our creeks and reserves.
Knox residents pay taxes too, and it’s time that the Andrews Government starts delivering for them.
